This club is open to any 7th/8th grade students at AJHS to be a part of the musical production. Opportunities include performing on stage as part of the cast, learning how to build/paint scenery, run the stage/spot lights, learn how to make costumes and work backstage as part of the stage crew. There are also opportunities for students to learn stage management and assistant directing skills. This is usually a seasonal time commitment, most often Dec - early March. Students in debate club tend to enjoy discussing current issues and if they don't already have a strong voice and good presentation skills, they will learn these abilities in a fun, safe club environment. Students learn to create factual/logical, ethical and emotional arguments to persuade others in the club that their "side" is correct. | |
