Free summer instrumental music lessons for students

The Auburn Music Boosters, with funding from the United Way of Cayuga County and the Auburn Public Theater Regrants program, is thrilled to offer FREE summer instrumental music lessons to any student in Cayuga County currently in grades 3-11.

No experience is necessary.

This is a great opportunity for students to: 

* Learn a new instrument they've always wanted to try. 

* Improve their skills on an instrument they already play. 

* Get a head start if they're planning to join band or orchestra next year. 

Students will receive half-hour lessons each week with an instructor who specializes in their instrument and participate in a final concert. No instrument purchase is necessary. Students who don't have their own instrument can borrow one for the summer. 

Lessons will take place: 

* At the Hoopes Park Clubhouse on Genesee Street in Auburn. 

* July 1 through Aug. 2 (five weeks) 

* Mondays through Thursdays between the hours of 8 am to 3 pm

* A $20 non-refundable registration fee covers the cost of a concert T-shirt.
