Auburn district appreciative of Hill & Markes Backpack Giveback donation

The Auburn Enlarged City School District accepted a donation from Hill & Markes as part of the facilities supply company’s annual “Backpack Giveback” initiative.

Hill & Markes aims at empowering 850 elementary school students with essential backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming academic year. 

“We are thankful to Hill & Markes for their generous donation that will enable Auburn students to have the supplies necessary to achieve academic success this upcoming school year,” said Auburn Enlarged City School District Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo. “The school district appreciates Hill & Markes’ efforts to assist families in Auburn.”

“We recognize that with the new school year on the horizon, many students and families face the financial burden of purchasing school supplies,” Hill and Markes said in a press release. “This effort is dedicated to making education accessible to more students and fostering a brighter future for the youth.”


Each backpack includes:

  • Notebook

  • Lined Paper

  • Pencils

  • Erasers

  • Markers

  • Crayons

  • Scissors

  • Glue Stick

  • Ruler

  • Pencil Pouch

Hill and Markes partnered with New York State Industries for the Disabled (NYSID), Morcon, Aluf Plastics, Boxit, Bunzl, Clorox, Durable, Enterprise Box, Fineline, Libco, PCA Packaging, Primetac Corp, Sterno, World Centric, Sabert & Kent Precision Foods to make the “Backpack Giveback” possible.
