Statement on AJHS Parent Zoom Meeting

(August 21, 2020) - On behalf of the Auburn Enlarged City School District and its Board of Education, we would like to apologize to our Auburn Junior High School families and any other families that were participating in the parent reopening meeting via Zoom on August 20. An individual or individuals hacked into the meeting and posted inappropriate slogans, images, and racial slurs, as well as made threats during the presentation. As soon as we became aware of what was transpiring, the Zoom meeting was immediately ended. We are working with Auburn Police Department on identifying the individual or individuals that are responsible for this. The school district does not condone this type of behavior and will be pursuing criminal charges. Again, we apologize to anyone who witnessed this inappropriate behavior.
