Auburn Enlarged City School District deploys Anonymous Alerts safety reporting tool: (Auburn, NY – September 4, 2018) – The Auburn Enlarged City School District is pleased to announce its partnership with Anonymous Alerts®, the anti-bullying and safety reporting app and system. Starting in the 2018-2019 school year, the patented, award-winning safety communications tool will be a new way for students to anonymously report sensitive concerns to school officials and engage in anonymous 1-way and 2-way communications® to share more information about incidents. Auburn schools provide technology-enriched programming: K-12 library media specialists, art, and technology teachers worked together to design projects and plan curriculum for the new Innovation Labs. Auburn Junior High School hosts student orientations - August 22, 2018: (Auburn, NY – August 13, 2018) – Auburn Junior High School is hosting student orientations for all incoming 7 th grade and transfer students on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Orientation for students with the last name beginning with A – K is from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Orientation for students with the last name beginning with L – Z is from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Brief parent orientations are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Parents and guardians whose students have a last name beginning with A – K are invited to the morning session, while parents and guardians whose students with a last name beginning with L – Z are invited to the afternoon session. 2018 School Supply Giveaway scheduled for August 18: 2016 Stuff the Bus Event (Auburn, NY – August 10, 2018) – Some Auburn students will be a little more prepared for the upcoming school year thanks to the Auburn/Cayuga Branch of the NAACP and Welch Allyn. The Auburn/Cayuga Branch of the NAACP and Welch Allyn both held school supply drives for Auburn schools this month; the NAACP held its annual “ Stuff the Bus ” drive on August 4, 2018, and Welch Allyn is holding an ongoing drive at its Skaneateles campus throughout the month of August. Auburn ECSD improves school-to-home communications with new website: (July 9, 2018) - The Auburn Enlarged City School District is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.aecsd.education . Summer Lunch Program at Genesee Elementary: (July 9, 2018) - Free lunches will be served from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. weekdays this summer at Genesee Elementary . The program will run from Monday, July 9, 2018 through Friday, August 24, 2018 and is open to all youth up to 19 years of age . Three Auburn students earn New York State Seal of Biliteracy: by Jessica Luisi, Public Information Specialist (May 25, 2018) – Three Auburn High School (AHS) seniors earned a New York State Seal of Biliteracy at Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES on May 22.   A New York State Seal of Biliteracy is awarded to high school seniors who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English, by high school graduation. Universal prekindergarten and kindergarten registration now open: Universal prekindergarten and kindergarten registration now open (February 23, 2018) – The Auburn Enlarged City School District is accepting applications for its 2018-2019 universal prekindergarten and kindergarten programs.   Children who are three or four years of age on or before December 1, 2018, and are Auburn school district residents, are eligible to apply for the district’s 2018-2019 3PK and UPK programs , taught by state-certified early childhood education teachers.   Area universal prekindergarten programs each offer different features, and parent(s)/guardian(s) are encouraged to contact the sites to arrange a visit.
