Auburn High School Counseling Department, Cayuga Counselor's Association to host Cayuga Area College Night on October 18
(October 15, 2018) - The Auburn High School Counseling Department and the Cayuga Counselors’ Association will once again co-sponsor the Cayuga Area College Night. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. with a financial aid presentation starting at 5:30 p.m. at Auburn High School. There will be approximately 90 representatives from four-year private and public colleges, two-year private and public colleges, schools of nursing, and various branches of the military. The representatives can answer questions about admission, programs of study, costs, financial aid, athletics, campus life, and military career options.
Various workshops will also be conducted:
Ms. Cathleen Patella from Cayuga Community College will conduct a workshop on financial aid at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium. The application process for various types of financial aid will be explained.
Ms. Karen Grella and Ms. Jeanne Shaw from the Cayuga Community CollegeOffice of Accessibility Resources will conduct a workshop on Disability Services available at the college level. This will be held in Room E215 at 6:15 p.m.
Mr. Steve Crosby, Auburn High School counselor, will conduct a workshop on college athletic eligibility requirements. This will be presented at 6:30 p.m. in Room E209. This information is essential for all prospective college athletes.
